I like so many other people throughout the world experienced a seismic shift in my lifestyle
as a result of the economic turmoil unleashed on the little guy ,like some no warning hurricane.
I have been badly battered by these unstoppable winds of change,but not broken.
In response to my experience and similar to many human beings I picked myself up and dusted myself off and set about rebuilding my life and lifestyle.
An important part of the restoration of my lifestyle was to find alternate sources of income/revenue,as my "safe for life" ,corporate middle management "JOB" was blown away forever in the economic whirlwinds.
I therefore set out on what has become a new adventure and indeed a new phase of my life ,albeit ,an unexpected turn of events, but ,isn't life just like that,just when you think it is time to throw in the towel and give up the fight,the human spirit somehow rises from the ashes and again surges forward.
For example even in the most extreme case as in recent years we have seen it on a global scale the likes of the great Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004 and then the flooding of the great city of New Orleans in 2005.
These catastrophe disasters and incomprehensible scale of the loss of life and the entire lifestyle of whole communities right down to families and individuals seemed unsurmountable challenges,yet very slowly .but step by step,those communities and those people are rebuilding their country ,their homes,their social and emotional lives.
A vital aspect of the miraculous recovery and return to a more "normal" life and lifestyle is the basic human need to generate an income so they can provide the means of restoring and improving the lot of themselves and more importantly their loved ones.
Now across the globe as I alluded to earlier in this my first ever blog,we are now faced with a global economic storm/disaster depending on your viewpoint that has once again swept through all levels of society and leaving varying degrees of damage to our financial "lives", but as in the natural disasters it is the poorest people those on the bottom rung of the ladder of life who are affected the most.
Yet there also has been a rumbling financial shock-wave which has moved up and down through all income brackets.
This has left many millions of people around the world desperately looking for ways to replace:
• Lost jobs ,stock market investments
• Life savings dwindled by use for day to day living expenses,
• Bankrupt business owners,
• Two income families now reduced to a single wage to try and live on,where the two salaries were required
• Those who looked forward to a well earned retirement have seen their retirement pot, sprang massive holes and seep away to levels where they too need to supplement that income.
• Home owners struggling to hold on to their family home or worse have lost their homes
There are many more people in dire financial desperation and need than the examples I have already used.
As I pointed out earlier I found myself just another one among the millions across the world who was forced to resurrect my life and former lifestyle and in so doing I could not avoid or ignore the myriad and tremulous volume of stories I read and saw in the media ,both locally where I live and nationally and then internationally.
As a result of both my personal experience and vicariously experiencing the plight of others an idea started to germinate in my mind.
There is a famous quote "YOU NEVER FAIL UNTIL YOU STOP TRYING " by Albert Einstein.
This has been the "mantra" by which I live and have lived my Life and I suddenly thought that as I am about to embark on my own personal voyage of Self-discovery, in how to restore my self image ,self esteem and learn how to restore my income in ways that will insulate me from future economic storms. I realised that going on an unknown adventure can be scary and a lonely endeavor.
So what does one do when starting out into the unknown, one gets help from others,advice from experts and from those who are also travelling or who have travelled the same route slightly ahead of you ,so as to benefit from their experiences and most importantly of all ,one finds travelling companions,fellow travellers with whom to experience and learn along the way.
This then is finally what my blog will be about , a journal of my travels from struggling to survive from day to day from bill to bill ,from dark periods of self-doubt and regret from an existence living to enjoying life to the fullest extent possible and sharing what I learn along the way with others who I sincerely hope will follow my journey and comment and offer advice and support and share extracts from your personal life story.
A mainstay of the blog will be that I will offer pointers to resources that I and other subscribers/followers of the blog have used successfully in turning the different areas of their life around, which will include things like;
• Journal recording What ,Where,When,and How I am doing on the journey.
• Self Development links
• Free ebooks on Self-development
• Videos and ebooks on wealth creation
• Tips and resources on financial and Home budgeting
• Offer business opportunities on a limited basis
• Resources and links on ONLINE Businesses and Internet Marketing
• Alternative income streams to conventional "JOB" only income.
• Tips ,tricks and links to sources to provide additional income streams from $50 to $500 ,weekly or monthly which I already use or are real proven techniques by other blog members.
Well I have come to the end of my first ever blog and would like to thank each and everyone of you who took the time to sit and read through it.
